Red, White and… Nushi | Joseff Albers | Casa FOA 2012

I based my work on the work of one of the German painters master Josef Albers (1888-1976), painter, musician, writer and great master of color.

Educated in the Bauhaus where he later taught to closure.

The original of this piece Red and White, was a window made of stained glass, especially to divide the room in the anteroom of the office of Dr. Otte House, was exhibited at the Bauhaus in Weimar in 1923.

Unfortunately this piece was destroyed by the Nazis in 1933, when they closed the school, destroyed most of the work done by its students and teachers and all the teachers were forced to emigrate. Together with his wife Anie, settle in California, USA, where he continues his career as a teacher and artist until his death.

Since the original work was destroyed with rocks, I used reinforced laminated glass provided by VASA, this way nothing and nobody could break again.
